We strive for excellence here at Pacific Kenpo Karate. We represent Dojos that have Students who range in interest Groups from recreational interest, to MMA Fighters, to Olympic Fighters. We train hard, have fun, and promote healthy living. We train our youth and adults to live by our Five Tenets: Respect, Sincerity, Honesty, Humbleness, and Loyalty.

Predominantly, our Students attend here for the physical fitness, Self-Defense, women's self-defense, and Family Time. However, we also have Students that are Training for Olympic Fighting and Sport Karate Competition, open circuit competition, MMA Competition, Cultural and Traditional understanding of Martial Arts, and credit for Home School kids. Our Martial Arts Programs are diverse and challenging for every individual on every level.
We encourage our young Students to do their Homework here in the Studio prior to class. We have space set aside, and a number of our young Students arrive early so that they are able to complete their Schoolwork prior to class.

Our Five Tenets
1. Respect: be respectful of others, of elder, of Instructors, and respect Martial Arts.
2. Sincerity: Sincerely train in Martial Arts. Try your hardest to learn something new every day. Put 110% effort into Patterson Kenpo Karate.
3. Honesty: Always be honest in every aspect of your life. Train inf Patterson Kenpo Karate Honestly. If I make a mistake, I WILL NOT lie to myself and accept it as an accomplishment if I know that I can do better.
4. Humbleness: Do not boast nor brag nor show off your Martial Arts. Always I will understand that I can improve and learn. Always I will be Humble in my Martial Arts Training.
5. Loyalty: I will be loyal to Patterson Kenpo Karate. I will never bad-mouth others with whom I train. I will not bad-mouth other Martial Arts Institutions. I will always professionally represent Martial Arts, especially Patterson Kenpo Karate.
Kenpo Kids Rules and Guidelines
1. Children will obey Parents and Teachers.
2. Children will be respectful to their Elders.
3. Children will be polite and humble with all.
4. Children will keep their house, room and self, clean.
5. Children will not interrupt conversations, argue, nor be rude to their Elders.
6. Children will NOT use foul language.
7. Children will only use their Kenpo when absolutely necessary.
8. Children will never abuse their siblings. Always be kind to your Brothers, Sisters and Family.
9. Children will work hard in School to reflect the best grades possible and the highest Standards.
10. We represent Pacific Kenpo Karate. We will do our utmost to be positive role models to our peers and never do anything which may disrespect our School.
Instructors Promise
I promise to train my Students to the highest standard possible. I will be a positive and influential Role Model in their lives. I will carry out this promise to my Students by living my life and training in Pacific Kenpo Karate as sincerely and positively as possible.

DOJO ETIQUETTE
When Entering the Dojo, please Bow. If you are late for Class, enter, Bow and wait for acknowledgement from Godan Sensei before coming on to the training floor.
After Class is finished and you have bowed out, please bow prior to leaving the Dojo.
Always Salute (Fist in Hand) to the senior Black Belt when first entering the Dojo, and when Leaving.
Always Salute (Fist in Hand) you fellow Karate-Ka when you have completed working a Technique with him or her.
Always refer to your Fellow Karate-Ka as "Sir" or Ma'am"
Always Use a Black Belt's Rank Title, call them Sensei, Sir or Ma'am.
Uniforms/Gi's
White Belt through Blue Belt Karate-Ka: Beginning Students are allowed to wear White or Black Gi's. Gi's are to be clean before each class. Uniform Patches are optional for this Belt Bracket.
Green Belt Through 1st Kyu Brown Belt: Karate-Ka in this Belt Bracket are required to have Black Gi's. Along with the Black Gi, Karate-Ka are required also to have the proper patches on their Gi. Membership to the I.K.K.A is optional.
1st Dan Black Belt: Black Belts are allowed to wear any color, or combination of colored Gi, as long as it is deemed to professionally Represent Pacific Kenpo Karate by Godan Sensei and the Board of Elders. Membership to the I.K.K.A. is required as well as maintaining current uniform Patches.
